Spices are concentrated. A little goes a long way. If residue is lower, spending more might be sensible.

Still, turmeric is also a commodity. Where is the explanation? Is it better variety, better drying, lab tests? If all I get is “organic”, I’ll choose trusted brand and grind fresh when possible.
