Ask Me Anything
Got a question about Hello Kisan, our philosophy, or why we do what we do? Ask away. Or just read on — we’ve answered a few we get often.
Why are you called "Hello Kisan"?
Great question! "Kisan" is not just a word — it’s our origin story. Farming was the first civil occupation on earth — it created community, culture, and civilization itself. "Hello" is modern, friendly, and universal — it’s how we start conversations in the 21st century.
Together, "Hello Kisan" is our way of saying: Let’s reconnect roots and relevance. And now, with our Future of Food philosophy, it’s about blending this ancient identity with tomorrow’s innovation.
It is also because it’s a handshake between the first farmers of history and the first-time foodies of the future.
Is Hello Kisan for farmers?
Nope — it’s for everyone who eats. If you care about food, sustainability, or the environment — you belong here. Whether you’re a student, policymaker, chef, scientist, or just someone who wants to know more about what’s on your plate — Hello Kisan is your space.
What do you mean by "Future of Food"?
It’s not sci-fi. The Future of Food is about what we grow, how we grow it, who eats it, and who gets left behind. It’s about nutrition, equity, climate, and technology — all tied together. Hello Kisan is where ancient wisdom meets future innovation. From desi seeds to drones, we’re talking about it all.
Who runs Hello Kisan?
We’re a small, passionate team mentored by Mukesh Gupta, an exceptionally gifted knowledge mentor in food, agriculture, and environment. Most of our content comes from contributors who care deeply — writers, farmers, thinkers, and innovators. It’s a collaborative mission, not a corporate newsroom.
Can I write for you? Collaborate with you? Intern with you?
Yes, yes, and yes! We’re open to writers, researchers, artists, interns, analysts, farmers, startups — you name it.
