Call Out…
Laxman, 29, Tonk District (75 km from Jaipur)
“I see videos every day. Farmers earning lakhs from organic. We formed an FPO of 124 farmers. Everyone says something different. Vegetables, milk, herbs. Paperwork is heavy. Buyer is unknown. Am I doing the right thing?”
Reality Translation Layer.
Laxman, what you are facing is real. Organic itself is not the problem. Confusion is. You are doing many crops already—jwar, moong, til, peanuts, wheat, chana, barley. None of these suddenly become high income just because they turn organic. Videos don’t show this part.
Am I alone or someone is holding my hand!
Right now, you are mostly alone. FPO gives strength, but not direction. Government gives certification rules, not buyers. Internet gives stories, not answers. Until one clear buyer or one clear crop focus comes, guidance will remain mixed.
Is it really worthwhile or just cosmetics?
Organic can work for you, but not by doing everything. First decide what will be sold, not what looks good. Start small. One crop. One buyer. Rest is noise. Otherwise organic becomes paperwork and tension, not income.
