Call Out…
Rakesh Patidar, East Nimar, MP
“I am told I am an organic farmer. We grow 120 acres soybean in extended family set up. Nothing changed on my farm. One man comes once a year, takes details. That’s all.”
Reality Translation Layer.
Rakesh, what you are part of is not farming change. It is paperwork change. Soybean, same seed, same practice, same input thinking. Only records travel, not methods. Organic happened on files, not on land.
Am I alone or someone is holding my hand!
You are not alone, but no one is holding your hand either. Export company needs volume. Extension worker needs data. Department needs success stories. Nobody is working with you on soil, inputs, risk, or yield changes.
Is it really worthwhile or just cosmetics?
For you, this is mostly cosmetic. If premium comes, good. If it stops, nothing breaks. But don’t confuse this with organic farming. It is organic certification economics, not organic agriculture practice.
