Soil Amendments by Gypsum:Most plantation sites are poorly endowed or degraded thus requires improvement/s. Gypsum is an important Amendment. Per Tree it can vary from INR 1.50 to 3.00. (If not required then assign Zero Cost)

1.12 Pesticides for Termite Control
Pesticides for Pests and Termite Control :Some lands and soils are very heavily infested by Pests and Termite. They need direct chemical control measures. Per Tree it can vary from INR 7.00 to 10.00. (If not applied assign Zero cost)
1.13 Innovative Tree Watering Tools
Innovative Tree Watering Tools :Might be slightly difficult but in some very hot and dry climate conditions the earthen pots / discarded plastic bottles to be filled with water are placed along the plant to provide continuous moisture. Mulching by - Innovative Recycled Plastic Clothe Felts. :This is a new innovation that allows air and water to pass through felt clothe and has very long life. Per Tree it can vary from INR 15.00 to 25.00. (if not used then assign Zero cost) Note; This has been seen to improve the outcome substantially.
1.16 Mulching by - Dry Leafy Material/s
Mulching by - Dry Leafy Material/s:with or without mulching sheet use the tree pit should be covered by dry leaves to protect it from heat stress. Per Tree cost - INR 5.00 to 10.00. (If not incurred then assign Zero cost) Note: Banana Leaves from Fruit Market is the best option.
1.17 Hand Tools - Shovels, Buckets, Diggers etc
Hand Tools - Shovels, Buckets, Diggers etc :Every Tree Plantation Project needs some hand tools that are like consumables. About one set per 200 Trees is required. each set costs INR 2000.00. Per tree it can cost 10.00. Note: This budget include damage, repair and replacement.
1.18 Watering Cans & Hose Pipes
Watering Cans & Hose Pipes :Even when there is a permanent watering system some watering cans and hose pipes are required. At least INR 10000.00 per site is required. For 4000 tree project for each tree it works out to INR 2.50 per Tree

Land Preparation - Clearing - Removal of Vegetation.:All plantation sites are heavily infested by weeds. That requires complete clearing. This Cost is assessed on project site basis. For 4000 Trees about 40000 Square Meter Land is covered. on Per Tree basis it can go up to INR 2.00.
2.2 Land Preparation - Removal of Debris
Land Preparation - Removal of Debris:Some sites have many kinds of debris / boulders / rubbish etc that needs removal. Applying same logic it can go up to INR 2.00 on per tree basis. (If not paid separately then assign Zero cost)
2.3 Land Preparation - Leveling
Land Preparation - Leveling :Some sites have extreme slopes and undulation/s that requires location specific leveling. Can go up to INR 2.00 Per Tree basis. (if not required then assign Zero cost)
2.4 Land Preparation - Pathways
Land Preparation - Pathways :If sites are not easily accessible for internal movement of machines then Pathways are created. Cost can go up to INR 3.00 per tree basis (If not required assign Zero Cost)
2.5 Pit Digging by Machine
Pit Digging by Machine :Depending on the type of plants the size is decided. For per plant it can vary from INR 15.00 to 20.00 per pit/tree cost is incurred
2.6 Material Preparation - Soil, Manure, Pesticides etc
Material Preparation by Mixing Soil, Manure, Pesticides etc:All the materials are required to be mixed in pre-determined proportion and carried to the pit site. Per Tree it can be from INR 5.00 to 10.00.
2.7 Plant Transport - Shifting of Plant Sapling to Pits
Plant Transport - Shifting of Plant Sapling to Pits:Mostly done by labor. For per Tree it can vary from INR 1.00 to 2.00.
2.8 Planting / Transferring Sapling to Soil
Planting /Transferring Tree Sapling to Soil:Skilled workers are needed. For one tree it can vary from INR 10.00 to 20.00.
2.9 Pit / Water Basin Formation
Pit / Water Basin Formation:Water Basin Formation. Extremely important to hold water. For per Tree it can vary from INR 10.00 to 20.00.
2.10 Watering Before Planting
Watering Before Planting:In all project sites all pits must be filled with water to improve the survival. (To be done either by water supply lines or through tankers engaged on contract basis) For per Tree it can vary from INR 1.00 to 3.00.
2.11 Watering during Planting
Watering during Planting:Needs to fill all soil pores so that air movement is restricted. For per Tree it can vary from INR 1.00 to 3.00.
2.12 Watering after Planting
Follow up watering after Planting :Immediately post planting at least 2-3 watering should be included in the plantation task itself. For per Tree it can vary from INR 6.00 to 10.00.
2.13 Tree Guard Fixing
Tree Guard Fixing (Not required for secured sites):In individually planted tree sites in public places then tree guards are required. This is done along with transplanting the tree sapling. It also includes the transport of tree guard to each pit. Per Tree labor cost can vary from INR 20.00 to 30.00. If not required then assign Zero cost)

3.2 Weeding Operations By Weeding Machine
Weeding Operations Weeding Machine:Low cost petrol operated machine can do about 100 to 150 plants per day. Can cost total INR 5.00 to 7.00 per tree per weeding. 3 Repeats are required till Tree Establishment
3.3 Regular Fertilizer and Manuring - Soil Applications
Regular Fertilizer and Manuring - Soil Applications :As per Expert advice at least 3 Manure Applications are made till establishment of Trees. Each application costs about Rs 5.00 so total INR 15.00 to 20.00 per tree is incurred
3.4 Foliar Fertilizer Application
Innovative Foliar Fertilizer Application :Following the expert advice, 2-3 foliar fertilizer applications are made. Each costs INR 5.00 per Tree Total 15.00 per tree is budgeted
3.5 Pest Control-Soil Application
Pest Control -Soil Application:As per Expert advice, 2-3 Applications are made Each can cost INR 5.00 and Total INR 15.00 is budgeted.
3.6 Pest Control - Foliar Application
Pest Control - Foliar Application:As per Expert advice 2-3 Applications are required. each costs INR 3.00 total INR 10.00 is budgeted.
3.7 Intercultural Operation for Soil Loosening
Intercultural Operation for Soil Loosening :To be done by hand held power machine. Can cost total INR 5.00 to 10.00 per application. In alll 2 applications are required.
3.8 Trimming and Pruning
Trimming and Pruning:as per Expert advice about 2 times trimming and Pruning is required. each costs about INR 5.00
3.9 Replacement Planting
Replacement Planting for Mortality:About 20 % tree saplings are required to be replaced during Post Planting care Period. On per tree basis it works about to INR 10.00 (Normally done during weeding and cleaning operations also)
3.10 Repeat mulching by Dry Leaf
Regular and repeat mulching by Dry Leaf :If earlier mulching by dry leaf is done, then it needs 2-3 repeat applications. About INR 6.00 to 10 per Tree is budgeted
