In reality, most states fumble. Proposals are delayed, poorly written, or never sent. Departments fight like relatives over wedding seating, officers lack training, and political ego adds fuel to inefficiency. End result? Crores go unutilized or quietly get repurposed. And the citizens — who were supposed to benefit — lose out without even knowing what they lost.
Worse? State Assemblies barely ask questions. It’s like a relay race where the baton is dropped… but no one’s even watching the track. So what’s the fix? Public dashboards — open, live, state-wise. Show allocations. Show proposals sent. Show funds received and spent. Let citizens see what their state is missing. Maybe even demand it. Who knows — some MLAs might even wake up and do their job.
